Book Name: Blood of the Sorcerer(The Kingdom Chronicles #2)

Author Name: B.C. Morin

Genre: Young adult, Paranormal, Romance

Publisher: Self-Published

My Rating: 4 stars

Love will be tested, great powers will emerge, secrets will be revealed, and hearts will break over a death no one saw coming….

Princess Alannah hoped that upon her arrival in Anrad, things would begin to look up. But she comes to find that the warrior fae that she has fallen in love with is truly the Prince of Anrad and has been betrothed to another by his dying father. Isibeal, his betrothed, is beautiful, strong, and hiding a secret that Alannah is determined to reveal.

Adding to her worries, her sister Evyette has set off on a journey to uncover her increasingly mysterious past. Finally discovering who she is and where she came from, Evyette will find that some things are better left unknown. As Tristan and Kaleb help Eveytte through this discovery, she is yanked from their clutches by Samil who has volunteered her as the final sacrifice for him to remain in this realm.

Will Alannah succeed in her training at the hands of Master Jadoc, the Elder Faerie and still make it in time to join Tristan and Kaleb in stopping Samil? Will Brennus go against his dying father's last request and follow his heart?

                                                               My Review

First of all, I would like to thank the author for giving me this book in exchange of an honest review.

Well, with Blood of the Sorcerer, B.C Morin have shown...again, why her name is going in my most-favorite-author list. Her writing is extremely visual and captivating.

This second book in the Kingdom Chronicles started right where Mark of the Princess left. Alannah has come to know that Brennus is the prince(and now the king!) of Anrad and is going to marry someone else (read a fae named Isibeal) as per his dead Father's wishes( not fair!..at all). She's heartbroken, yet shows a strong front and goes on with her training with her master. The way Alannah's character is shown as a strong willed, confidant woman with a soft spot in her is very impressing. She's determined to uncover the secret that Isibeal is hiding and get her Brennus back(go on girlie...we are with you).

The author takes us on two more journies within this book. First one is of Evyette and her quest to unravel her past. Along with her are Tristan and Kaleb. She will cross paths with the evil sorcerers Maligo and Samil. Her story is heart breaking but I loved that I get to experience all this with her and watch her grow closer to Tristan, as well as Kaleb, who will surprise you immensely in this.

The other journey is of Maligo and Samil. Maligo is back as evil as ever but this time he has bought back Samil after raising him from hell. Maligo and Samil and the Dorchae want to bring down all the fae and rule all the kingdom. Although it might make some readers think that I have lost my mind, but I have to say that I came to like Maligo towards the end of this book. His remorse was heartfelt and the way he saved Evyette was hearbreaking (oops!...wasn't supposed to say that. Huh..get a grip girl, you don't want to spoil it for others..yeah.Right)

Anyways, moving on to sum up and still maintain the curiosity factor, let me just re-write the blurb from the goodreads official reviewLove will be tested, great powers will emerge, secrets will be revealed, and hearts will break over a death no one saw coming…

Just one last word, this book has some major cliffhanger, the likes of which you may never have seen. So our dearest author, you might want to bring the third book out real soon so that your dear readers don't die out of curiosity. What can I say, I just have to... have to know what became of all the characters that I have come to love!!
